Trudy Stock, President & CEO of Harding, Shymanski & Company, P.S.C., has been named the 2016 Outstanding CPA in Public Practice by the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS).
The INCPAS award recognizes Stock for her outstanding service to her clients, firm, community and the profession. The award was presented at the INCPAS Celebration 2016 held on May 13th in Indianpolis.
“What I enjoy most about my job is the variety,” Stock said in an interview for a 2014 INCPAS video: A Day in the Life: Trudy Stock, CPA. “I really get excited about being able to help our clients meet their goals, but I also enjoy…working with our people and helping them be successful.”
Stock began her career with the firm in 1985, and rose through the organization to co-lead the Outsourcing Department before being named President & CEO in 2011.
“I’ve been here my entire career,” Stock said. “We have an amazing group of people, and it’s really fun to watch them grow and develop. What I enjoy most about the firm is the culture we have. It’s a very cooperative culture—a family type atmosphere where everybody is working together for a common goal.”
In the community, Stock currently serves as a board member and past president of both Junior Achievement and the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville; board member and treasurer for St. Vincent’s Health; and board member for the Southwest Indiana Chamber, USI Foundation, and many other board commitments. She is also an active leader in her church.
